I Choose to Inhabit my Days
April 12th, 2015
‘Fully Alive’ A beautiful poem by the extraordinary poet Dawna Markova
I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear
of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days,
to allow my living to open me,
to make me less afraid,
more accessible,
to loosen my heart
until it becomes a wing,
a torch, a promise.
I choose to risk my significance;
to live so that which came to me as seed
goes to the next as blossom
and that which came to me as blossom,
goes on as fruit.
Dawna Markova

That’s a truly beautiful piece.
Glorious piece, thanks so much for sharing it.
Yes. You made my day. Thank you.
A hug, Shakti.
This made my day for sure. Thank you, Phillip, for sharing it. I will copy this into my journal so I can read it each day. I feel like the poet was inside my head as this is the way I try to live. Very inspirational. Love to all…
