The Druid Way

Meditations

Meditation can bring peace to the heart, calm and inspiration to the restless mind, and healing to the body.

Visit the virtual outdoor woodland cinema Yewtube for over 250 short meditations from a few minutes to 15 minutes long, excerpted from Tea with a Druid.

A central symbol for the Druid is a tree, which is often used in meditation. Powerful and peaceful, still and yet fully alive, the tree breathes in and out, acting in service to all of life.

For information about how you can work with this tree meditation see here.

Below are two meditations, which come from two collections of guided meditations available from Apple Music and Amazon Music. You can find links to download these for the Sacred Nature collection here and Wild Wisdom Meditations here.

This first one comes from the Wild Wisdom collection, but listen to this three minute introduction before you listen to the meditation – the ideas here apply to listening to all of these samples. Then listen to the Wild Wisdom Meditation that follows:

This next one comes from the Sacred Nature collection, and is called ‘Clothed with Flowers’. It features the music of Charlie Roscoe that is also heard in the Tree Meditation:

Here is a Loving Kindness Meditation Druid style – using a little Sophrology to help you relax quickly.

Here is a ‘Druid Nidra’ – a meditation based upon Yoga Nidra using Druid imagery, recorded at the One Tree Gathering in 2017. If you like this style of meditation, look at this Home Meditation Retreat, which offers a different nidra meditation every week for 12 weeks: The Garden of Flowing in Perpetual Happiness.

And here’s a different (much wilder) kind of meditation – created with Youth – record producer, artist, poet and musician, and with harp music from Breton Druid Myrdhin. Once you click start you have 32 seconds of silence to get ready for the ride!
