Talented artists and OBOD Honorary Bard Jamie Reid has brought together Heligan, John Marchant Gallery, the Sensory Trust, OBOD and Richard Scott of the National Wildflower Centre to help in creating his beautiful Ova symbol within Valentine’s Field in The Lost Garden of Heligan, Cornwall.
The OVA symbol represents rebirth and growth and healing and encompasses the points of the 8-fold year, the solstices and equinoxes which will be revealed throughout the year at Heligan.
The OVA has been created in 11 acres of the gardens, sown with corn marigold, corn chamomile and cornflower, which are currently flowering in a stunning display of nature’s abundance. The OVA is also a haven for bees and other vital pollinators.
This beautiful project is a deeply Druidic expression and celebration of nature and the creative spirit, and shows how the two can be intimately linked in uplifting and profoundly healing ways. To read more click here.
