Unity in Diversity: The Book of Keltria

September 2nd, 2015

BoK_THUMBNAIL_IMAGEOne of the great things about the world of Druidry today is its diversity and the way it is becoming more acknowledged in the mainstream. I have just learned that the Mayor of Glastonbury is a Druid, and a member tells us that the admission forms for hospitals in Australia offer ‘Druid’ as an option to designate your religion. And as regards diversity, there are now groups and books to appeal to every kind of taste. In the USA the three largest Druid groups are OBOD, ADF and the Henge of Keltria.

A while back Tony Taylor from Keltria sent me their latest publication – The Henge of Keltria Book of Keltria – Druidism for the 21st Century. This is really an excellent collection which includes essays from Tony and his partner Wren Taylor, the late Alexei Kondratiev, and others. It offers insights into Druid history, divination, Keltrian theology, ritual and meditation, and much more. The book offers a great insight into how Druidism is flourishing in the world today, and you can find out more about it at the Henge’s site here.

  1. …and currently, a television series has been created based on Terry Brooks’ Shannara books in which a druid, Allanon, plays a prominent role. It will be interesting to see how this manifests and inspires more people to search for and explore druidry…timing…momentum 🙂

  2. ….and back in Glasgow of 1920-30s was the Craigallian Fire, an organic coming together of bona fide elemental souls….for the Fire continued to be lit and so a legend was born.
