Skidding in Sideways

October 21st, 2009

Anyone know the author of this quote?
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, martini in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming “WOO HOO what a ride!”
My goal is to do this but not ‘totally worn out’ – quite the reverse!

  1. I’ve seen several variations of this quote and all are wither un-attributed (anonymous) or made by people who do not claim the quote as their own.

I have a feeling it’s one of those awesome things lost to unpublished sources that got aspread around to varying authors. (Like the “Footprints in the Sand” poem about Jesus which DOES have a source, but sitll I have seen in gift stores with at least three different sources cited)
