Preparing for the Solstice on Glastonbury Tor

June 28th, 2011

The Druid social networking site and community resource Druidic Dawn has produced this video taken at our recent ceremony on Glastonbury Tor. As you can see the weather was wild, with rain at some points, but with the most beautiful landscape as a result – patches in rain, patches in sun. And early on you get a glimpse of the way in which someone has cut the grass on Chalice Hill to create a big heart shape – a beautiful and heart-warming sight!

  1. Wonderful, takes me right back, I was overwhelmed by the whole experience, it was my first time at Glastonbury with OBOD.

  2. Enjoyed that, Thanks for sharing Philip. I had a bit of tech trouble playing it, but finally got thing’s rolling nicely.

  3. Such a beautiful and evocative reminder of such a special moment in time …. I didn’t even feel the rain, but looking at this, we were very blessed by the element of water.
