Thank you for this tree loving kindness meditation. I pictured a large Hawthorne tree that I recently tried to save at the building site where I am building a house. I have been so sad that I was not able to save it from the excavator as it stood right at the edge of the site where a drainage ditch had to be placed. So I pictured this tree where it stood and sent my love and thanks to it for it’s sacrifice and so on around the globe. I plan to place this tree near my current house on the ground for cover and winter shelter for birds and animals.
I very much enjoyed this meditation, and happily the tree that appeared to me was the small dogwood I nurtured for years. My neighbor’s oak fell on it a couple of years ago, breaking it so only a 3 foot stump remained. I made a flute from one of its branches, and played to that sad little stump. But to my great joy, it is courageously coming back, and I visit it often with loving prayers. This gives me another way to delight in this little being, and the rest of those trees that surround me with such love.
This was an amazing meditation. I have a couple of ‘favourite’ trees on some of the Mountain Bike trails I ride on a weekly basis. Why these trees are my ‘favourites’ I have no idea, but, whenever I ride past I reach out and allow my hand to brush them.
Another great meditation. I have some favourite trees on the various mountain bike trails I ride on a weekly basis. Why these certain trees are my favourites, I’ve got no idea, but, I always make sure that I lean out and touch them when I ride past.
Love and blessings,
Stu..
Greetings Philip. Thank you for a most Lovely experience. I chose a Tall Tree at the top of our local Mountain, from where I often send Light & Love to this area. I felt a Deep Loving connection to the trees of our Mountain town, and then to all Trees on the planet, and also to Gaia. I saw the planet rejuvenated & felt protection & nourishment being given to All Trees, as they in turn sent it back out to All beings on the Gaia. Brightest of Blessings on your journey towards Samhuinn.
