My New Year’s Resolution

I love supporting authors with advice on getting published, introductions to literary agents or publishers, writing forewords, endorsements or reviews for them, or just generally critiquing their work. Every year I receive dozens of requests.

Fellow authors have done the same for me over the years and I’m deeply grateful to them.

Currently, I have five books waiting for my response and the year has only just begun. EEK!

It takes a long time to read, think about and respond to someone’s creative output, and I hate letting people down, but now having done this for thirty years or more, I want to free up more time by letting go of this work, so that I can concentrate on various projects.

I do hope you understand – it goes against the grain for me because I really want to help, but I know this is the right decision, and I wish you well with all your creative endeavours!
