“There is often a kind of a myth that spiritual people are quite passive and maybe indifferent to the world: “Everything is really perfect. So, we don’t need to worry about anything. We don’t really need to interfere with world events because everything is basically perfect. And if you can’t sense the perfection, if you can only see the suffering and discord, maybe there’s something something wrong with you.” But I don’t think that that’s the case. I think if you are truly spiritually awakened, you feel a very strong impulse or sense of mission to help others and to make the world a better place to alleviate some of the suffering in the world to bring harmony into the discord of the world.”  Dr. Steve Taylor on the podcast Fierce Grace.
