Cerridwen and Taliesin Story Poster

Many of you will know and love OBOD member Yannick Dubois’ beautiful work. Yannick’s latest offfering is a wonderful depiction of the Talesin Tale. Here Yannick explains a little more about the piece and how you can obtain your own copy:

Dear fellow Bards, Ovates and Druids, I’m pleased to share my most recent, lovingly crafted and highly detailed illustration project with you, the Cerridwen & Taliesin Story Tapestry. Knowing the significance that this story holds within our druidic tradition and how deeply familiar you all are with the tale of Cerridwen and Taliesin, I trust that you will appreciate this inspired new piece of artwork.

Storytelling through visual art is a strong aspect of my bardic expression. Since “a picture says more than a thousand words”, I decided to illustrate this ancient story to contribute towards keeping this tale alive and relevant for our times and to complement the work of countless others. The inspiration for this piece came to me, whilst walking in the woods admiring the wind moving through the yellow beech leaves around me. I prayed to Cerridwen and Taliesin to bless this work and offered my creative process to them.

This image is composed with the use of sacred geometry and the golden ratio. The ink pen is drawn by hand and digitally coloured with a lot of attention to detail. I created this picture to draw people in and take the observer on a journey through the story, following the flow of the water and spiralling shapes.
